📜 Community Guidelines

NotaeLibrary is a platform for readers, writers, and learners to connect through study rooms, book discussions, and collaborative content. These guidelines ensure everyone has a safe and productive experience.

🤝 Core Principles

• Be Respectful: Treat all community members with courtesy and respect. Disagree constructively.
• Be Genuine:Share honest opinions and authentic content. Don't misrepresent yourself.
• Be Helpful: Contribute positively to discussions and support fellow members.
• Be Responsible: Take ownership of your content and interactions.

🚫 Prohibited Content

The following content is not allowed on NotaeLibrary:

• Harassment & Bullying: Targeted attacks, threats, intimidation, or sustained unwanted contact toward any individual or group.
• Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Spam & Self-Promotion: Repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant commercial content. Reasonable sharing of your own work in relevant contexts is fine.
• Explicit Content:Sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or other content inappropriate for the room's content rating.
• Misinformation: Deliberately false or misleading information presented as fact.
• Copyright Infringement: Sharing copyrighted material without proper authorization or attribution.
• Personal Information:Sharing another person's private information without their consent (doxxing).

📚 Study Room Conduct

• Stay On Topic:Keep discussions relevant to the room's purpose and current topic.
• Respect Room Moderators: Room owners and moderators set additional rules for their spaces. Follow them.
• No Spoilers Without Warning: Use spoiler warnings when discussing plot details in book clubs.
• Content Ratings:Respect the room's content rating. Rooms are rated G, PG, PG-13, R, or NC-17.

🚩 Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

1. Report the content using the report button (🚩) on messages or posts.
2. Select a reason that best describes the violation (Spam, Harassment, Inappropriate Content, or Other).
3. Provide details if possible to help moderators understand the context.

Reports are reviewed by room moderators. Frivolous or false reports may result in action against the reporter.

⚖️ Enforcement

Violations may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

• Warning: A notification about the violation.
• Mute: Temporary restriction from posting or chatting.
• Content Removal: Deletion of the offending content.
• Ban: Removal from a study room, either temporary or permanent.
• Account Suspension: For severe or repeated violations, platform-level action may be taken.
